Types of Power Panels We Supply in Mumbai

The term “power panel” covers several types of main incoming and distribution panels depending on plant size and application. Mumbai clients order different panel types based on their transformer capacity, number of outgoing feeders, and level of automation required. Here is what we regularly manufacture and deliver across the MMR:

PCC Panel — Power Control Centre

The PCC panel is the primary power panel in most industrial plants. It receives incoming power directly from the transformer — typically at 415V, 3-phase — and distributes it to MCC panels, sub-distribution boards, and utility feeders across the factory. PCC panels handle the highest current ratings in the plant and are built with ACBs or high-rated MCCBs as the incoming device. We build PCC panels from 800A to 6300A in floor-standing MS enclosures with electrolytic copper busbars, fully shrouded with phase colour coding. For Mumbai plants running DG sets in parallel with MSEDCL supply, we include manual or automatic bus coupler schemes.

Main Power Distribution Panel — MDB

The MDB (Main Distribution Board) is the primary power panel for commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, and smaller industrial facilities. It receives power from the incoming transformer or MSEDCL service connection and distributes it to floor-level panels, sub-distribution boards, and individual feeder circuits. We build MDB panels from 200A to 2000A with MCCB or ACB incomers depending on the load. Mumbai high-rise projects in BKC, Lower Parel, Worli, and Powai are the most common commercial applications. We supply MDB panels for both temporary construction power and permanent building installation.

Synchronising and Bus Coupler Power Panel

[PARAGRAPH] Plants in Bhiwandi, Taloja MIDC, and Navi Mumbai that run DG sets alongside MSEDCL supply need a synchronising panel to manage seamless changeover and parallel operation. We build manual and automatic synchronising panels with bus couplers, protection relays, and synchronising check relays for safe parallel operation. These panels prevent back-feeding into the MSEDCL grid and protect the DG set from out-of-phase synchronisation — a common cause of generator failure when poorly managed.

Industries We Serve Across Mumbai as a Power Panel Manufacturer

We supply main power panels and PCC panels to plant managers, electrical consultants, and project engineers across the full Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Industries we work with regularly:

Bhiwandi

India's largest warehousing and textile hub. PCC panels for spinning mills and weaving units. MDB panels for cold storage and logistics warehouses. APFC panels for large motor loads facing MSEDCL power factor penalties.

Taloja MIDC and Ambernath

Chemical processing and rubber manufacturing. Main power panels with high fault level ratings for transformer capacities of 1000 KVA to 3000 KVA. IP65 enclosures for outdoor substation rooms. Synchronising panels for plants running DG backup.

Navi Mumbai MIDC

Pharmaceutical manufacturing and precision engineering. GMP-compliant power panel layouts. Documentation for drug inspectorate and factory inspectorate approvals. SS 304 enclosures for clean areas.

Thane

Auto component plants and mixed manufacturing. PCC panels for transformer capacities of 500 KVA to 2000 KVA. Bus coupler arrangements for plants with two incoming feeders from MSEDCL.

Vasai-Virar

Food processing and plastic manufacturing. Main power panels with motor group feeders and APFC integration for energy cost reduction.

Mumbai City

Commercial construction and infrastructure. Main distribution boards for high-rise towers, malls, hospitals, and data centres in BKC, Worli, Andheri, and Powai.

Why Mumbai Plants Choose Enerprone for Power Panels

No brand substitution. Power panels carry the highest current ratings in a plant — using a cheaper ACB or MCCB than quoted creates a safety risk, not just a quality issue. At Enerprone, every component is documented with rating, make, and catalogue reference on the panel nameplate and in the handover file. You can verify every item on arrival at site.

Short circuit rating verified. We check the fault level at your transformer’s LT terminals and size the incomer ACB or MCCB accordingly. Under-rated incoming devices are the single biggest cause of power panel failure during MSEDCL supply faults. We calculate correctly at design stage.

Test report with every panel. IR test, continuity check, and functional verification of all protection relays before dispatch. A main power panel that trips or fails at site during first energisation delays the entire plant startup. We test properly so this does not happen.

Pune to Mumbai in 4 to 6 hours. Power panels are our largest and heaviest products. We use dedicated flat-bed or enclosed transport with custom wooden crating. No shared trucks, no stacking damage, no loose wiring.

MSEDCL approval documentation included. For PCC panels connected to MSEDCL supply above 100 KVA, approval drawings and test reports are required. We provide all documentation — CT/PT details, protection relay settings, and MSEDCL-format test certificate — at delivery.

We have supplied main power panels to L&T, Thyssenkrupp, Forbes Marshal, and Sterling & Wilson project sites across Mumbai and Pune. References available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Power panel pricing depends on panel type, current rating, transformer fault level, number of outgoing feeders, ACB or MCCB incomer, and metering requirements. A 630A MDB panel with 8 outgoing MCCBs costs between ₹80,000 and ₹1.3 lakh. A 1600A PCC panel with ACB incomer and 12 feeders ranges from ₹2.5 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh. A 3200A main PCC with bus section and 20 feeders runs between ₹6 lakh and ₹11 lakh depending on switchgear brand. Share your transformer KVA rating and load list on WhatsApp at +91 8007068785 and we send a detailed quotation within 24 hours.

A PCC (Power Control Centre) panel is the main incoming panel — it receives power from the transformer and distributes it to multiple outgoing feeders including MCC panels, sub-distribution boards, and utility loads. An MCC (Motor Control Centre) panel receives power from the PCC and controls individual motors with starters, MCCBs, contactors, and overload relays. In a typical plant, power flows from transformer → PCC → MCC → individual motors. For MCC panel details, see our MCC Control Panel page for Mumbai.

PCC and main power panels are our most complex products — manufacturing takes 3 to 5 weeks depending on current rating, number of feeders, protection relay requirements, and ACB procurement lead time. Delivery from Pune to Mumbai is 4 to 6 hours by road. For plant startup deadlines, discuss your required date at order stage and we confirm a committed schedule.

For industrial connections above 100 KVA, MSEDCL requires approved panel drawings and test certificates before granting permanent connection. We provide all MSEDCL-format documentation — CT/PT details, relay settings, and test certificate — with every PCC panel. Our Mumbai clients have received MSEDCL permanent connection approvals using our documentation without revision requests.

Standard production time is 2 to 4 weeks from order confirmation, depending on panel complexity and size. Delivery from Pune to Mumbai takes 4 to 6 hours by road via dedicated vehicle. For time-sensitive projects, discuss your deadline when placing the order and we will confirm a committed date.

Send your panel requirement — load list, SLD, or just a brief description of what your plant needs. We reply within 24 hours with a scope of supply and pricing. No lengthy forms, no sales calls before you are ready.
